Recently, I saw a digital camera available in Staples. It came on a keychain, and was about 2 inches high, 3 inches long, and maybe a half-an-inch thick. They were selling it for $19.95. Granted, it may not be much of a camera, but when I consider that I just bought a very good digital camera (which was not the most recent model of its kind, by any means) earlier this year for $225, it is...interesting that we're already seeing them this small and cheap.

Yesterday, while driving in city traffic on an errand, I saw a stretch Humvee. Not a stretch limo, which is an ordinary sedan made much longer to accommodate its own bar and other amenities, but a stretch Humvee. In blazing white. It must have been almost as long as an 18-wheeler.

When I see things like this, I can't decide whether I think capitalism is amazingly wonderful, or just... amazing.
