Argh. I lost my character in their incident last night.

Yeah, most of us lost stuff. I lost a full point on my Persuasive and about 12 Echoes, as well as points in connected to a bunch of groups. esrblog lost points in all of his stats and a bunch of goods he'd accumulated to unlock the next step in his Ambition.

The game GMs posted explanations on Twitter. It appears that their ISP provider screwed all of us. To quote the explanatory Tweets:

For delicious friends only now returning, we repeat: our hosting provider took it upon themselves to restore our database to a backup. They also carried out a full OS restore, overwriting the more recent database backups we had made on the server. The sorry result is the timewarp effect you see. Please contact us ... if you bought Fate at the weekend.

THey have to re-supply the fate, since that was purchased with real world money. However, they've also promised, "We will be providing a one-time Fate boost to all players, additionally, as a courtesy."

Slim consolation for people who made great strides over the weekend, but that's where it is.
