The Art of Blog Writing
I don't remember exactly how it happened, but the other day I stumbled across some websites dedicated to...teaching the art of blog writing. Specifically, these sites are attempting to teach people how to write "a blog that others will want to read." Here's an example (though it's not the one I first found), but there are many, many others.
For some reason, the knowledge that there are such sites out there depresses me. I know it should not; many people get into blog writing as a way of promoting another business endeavor, or in the hopes that the blog itself will somehow make them money, and there's nothing wrong with that. But I don't really want to treat my blog as a business. To me, that would take all the fun out of it.
