cathyr19355 at 10:18pm on 16/04/2007Today, the nor'easter they'd been threatening us with all week finally hit with a vengeance. After the rain (and 50 mph gusts) we had snow (and 50 mph gusts).
When I woke up this morning to go to work, I saw that the rain-soaked landscape I'd gone to bed admiring was now a blizzard. After checking on line, I learned that the train I take to commute to work was not running because of electrical problems. Figuring that the roads would be crowded and nasty even though little snow had stuck to them, I decided to work from home today. This had the extra benefit of letting me do a nice brunch at Chester County Book & Music Company with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-syndicated.gif)
esrblog, as by that time the rain had re-established itself and the snow was nearly all gone. He got me another birthday present, a book on Viking life and culture, which I'm enjoying.
And thank you, everyone who called or otherwise pinged me to say "Happy Birthday!" It is much appreciated.
