esrblog's birthday. He hits the half-century mark today!
Today, we had our first snow of the winter. Granted, it was only a few flurries, but it was real snow. And the bitter cold that came with it was real enough.
Finally, here's an amusing bit of wretched excess. Yesterday's Philadelphia Inquirer reported that DiBruno, a gourmet food store near my office, is about to start selling a 5-kilo tub of Nutella for $89.99. That's right, $90 for over eleven pounds of dense, chocolate hazelnut goo. At 100 calories per tablespoon, that's more Nutella than I'll eat in the entire rest of my life.
