True to form, my neighbor down the street took down the Easter decorations a day or two after the holiday.
He's replaced them with generic Spring-ish decorations. Brightly colored plastic flower-like things, a banner with a butterfly motif. In place of the bunny ghosts, he's hung these plastic corkscrew-icicle-like things. These too are brightly colored, in all the rainbow colors, including some metallics.
At least the Christmas/Valentine's Day/St. Patrick's Day/Easter tree is gone from the front window.
Meanwhile, the realtor down the street has replaced the poinsettias, glitter shamrocks and all, with a tasteful flower basket in the traditional Easter colors (yellow, purple, white) and an array of anonymous potted plants. I almost miss the poinsettias.
