OMG the horror. "This looks old - let's put it in our movie!" AAARGH. I tried not to look.

the actors spoke as though they were sleepwalking or, perhaps, drugged.

This was incredibly annoying. Since several of the actors are known to be good ones, and combined with what you said above, I was wondering if the director had asked them to do that so that everything would be sloooowed doooown and perhaps the slow-seeming animation would seem less so. It didn't work that way, but perhaps that was the reasoning.

Beowulf's invisible penis

The sword! HAHAHA. Laughing out loud in the theatre during a battle scene will get a girl looked at. Just sayin'.

As he slides down the back of the monster, his sword rips open... Even a sharp modern blade wouldn't cut that well.

This one at least has an excuse. Just after he finishes the story, someone asks "how many seamonsters was it? 50?" Beowulf glares and says "9," to which his friend replies "last time it was 3." This part wasn't supposed to be real (whew).
