Interesting take on it.

One of my co-workers, a big film fan, saw both the 2D and 3D versions, and he says the 2D version suffered a lot from it. The filmmakers (in his opinion) spent more time on the 3D version. He was actually going to see it a third time, going over to the IMAX at Henry Ford Museum.

You have to be really well educated to pick up on the historical inconsistencies. I'm often interested in how steel swords appear in medieval battles (notably recreations of the 1066 battle), even though they weren't made in Japan until the 500s, and didn't appear in Europe until after 1200.

I probably will take the kids (how does it compare to "Enchanted", after all? if you're a 10 yo boy?) but we will go to the 3D version.
