cathyr19355 at 12:08am on 14/07/2008An acquaintance on one of the mailing lists I frequent reminded me of one of the trailers that preceded Wall-E. Though I winced at the reminder, I originally intended to blog about this dog (all puns intended) of an upcoming movie anyway.
Beverly Hills Chihuahua. The movie's tag line is "50% Warrior. 50% Lover. 100% Chihuahua." (No, I'm not kidding.) The color scheme is loud with yellows, turquoise, and fuchsia. The action: Inane. (The trailer is mostly screenfuls of chihuahuas with feathers on their heads dancing on Aztec-style step-pyramids.) You've heard of blaxploitation flicks? BHC is a chihuahuaxploitation flick. Do NOT let any chihuahua see this movie unless you want to die in your sleep.
