There's only about 5 1/2 hours in 2005 here in Malvern, and in the last few days alone good things have happened. After watching the money drain from my checking account repeatedly to fix things (see Demon of Breakage entries), I got a $3,000 Christmas bonus from work (from which only about $300 was taken out for taxes!), the University of Texas has finally reimbursed Eric's travel expenses from his trip there in March, and the insurance adjuster for the restaurant where Eric's laptop got damaged called my Thursday and said that they would send me a release (which implies that they're paying the claim). Nothing has broken lately, either.

Best of all, tonight Eric and landley and I are going to spend New Year's Eve with our friends, shakati and pmat and their family, to play board games and generally ring in the New Year and have fun together.
