In keeping with the general tone of this LiveJournal, I report that I am spending my time during this first weekend of the New Year fighting off a cold and trolling through the archives of two very different webcomics:
Questionable Content and The Angriest Rice Cooker in the World. Make of this what you will.

Sorry about the cold.
Speaking of webcomics, how can you not mention xkcd (http://xkcd.com)? I also like Wondermark (http://wondermark.com). It's made out of Victorian woodcuts.
By the way, it looks like your husband is going to be in my neck of the woods to give a talk to a user's group (http://www.balug.org/).

So you're out in California? I didn't know that. He's definitely making a trip in the near future.

I can see why you like QC, though; most of the characters are interesting without being nasty (the way some of the characters in "Goats" are kind of nasty, for instance.) Of all the webcomic characters who start out as skinny, geeky guys who can't get girls, he reminds me the most of you (the biggest difference is that he's not quite up to your standard on the sarcasm front).
