...you learn that someone you know has had to read a book you wrote as part of a college course.

That happened to esrblog tonight at MMA class. One of his class partners had to read part of The Cathedral and the Bazaar in a college computer course.

I guess I'm surprised this hasn't happened to him sooner. :-)

The Honors Engineering Seminar reads it here. I giggle whenever I see it on the Bookshelf. (A place where the Honors College keeps books for students to take.)

You could probably curry favor with the head of Honors Engineering by offering to get him a personally signed copy. :-)
