I'm not trying to resurrect Linucon. Linux on the desktop has failed. I no longer believe it has any future (and neither does anybody else after 10 full years of crying wolf), so what's the point in a Linux expo aimed at nontechnical end users? They'll never use it, not in our lifetimes. Give 'em a mac, or leave them with windows.
I'm still interesting in mixing real science with science fiction, but the computer parts should be more general programming, web stuff, macs and iphones and such. And things like Armadillo Aerospace or robotics or nanotech or candyfab are at least as interesting as computer stuff.
