So naturally Eric and I have spent a good chunk of it taking a silly Flash quiz about Victorian social behavior on a Canadian museum site. You're not nearly as surprised as I am that we killed almost an hour this way...or that we did pretty well on the quiz overall.
In retrospect, I've decided to edit this entry to provide the URL of the quiz for the curious:

Link to the McCord Museum Quiz
It didn't even occur to me to add the link until after I posted. Then I figured, "Well, I'll provide it if anybody expresses interest." So here it is.

Be warned: THIS QUIZ REQUIRES FLASH. I have no idea what chicanery would be necessary to make it work on a Linux box, so I ran it on our 5-year-old super slow I-Book.
However, if you have a newer machine that handles Flash well, it's fun. The combination of the "animation" style and the accompanying music is weirdly Monty-Pythoneque. Eric kept saying that he expected the giant foot to come down and stomp the characters any second.

Overall I did extremely well--I only missed three questions total. I actually scored slightly better on the female half of the quiz than the male, but that's probably because I took the male half first, and therefore knew what clothes the women would be expected to wear.
The results from choosing the wrong answer are very funny.

Yes, the penalties for incorrect answers were very funny, in a Monty Python kind of way. I think that's what kept Eric and me fascinated.
