Yes, I'm yielding to an LJ meme. At last.

If there is one person or more on your friends list who makes your world a better place just because they exist and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the Internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.

Most of my LJ friends are people I met in the flesh first (and some of those are people I've known personally for a long time), but there are a solid handful of LJ friends who I know only through the Internet, and I'm proud and happy to know them, even if we never meet in person. The meme didn't say to identify them, but I'd like to: [livejournal.com profile] bippimalin, [livejournal.com profile] jenthompson, [livejournal.com profile] mc_cadieux, and last (but by no means least) [livejournal.com profile] pearl.

Ladies, it is wonderful to finally have a "peer group" that is interested in costuming--one of my favorite subjects, but a subject of little interest to most of my other friends. Thank you for existing!

FWIW, Cathy, you're definitely in that category for me. Even though I knew you before LJ, we definitely met because of the Internet.

By my post, I didn't mean to reflect negatively on those of my LJ friends I didn't mention. I just wanted to give kudos to my LJ Internet friends who maybe didn't know that they matter to me more than they might expect.

However, I value all of my LJ friends!

I met you in the flesh first, but it's been fun following your costuming blog, even if that era of costuming isn't central to my interests. It may yet lead me back to the fabric side of the Force.
