Yesterday was a perfect day for yardwork; sunny, clear, not too hot or too cold. So I spent about an hour doing some.
It was very frustrating. I realized that my azalea bushes have not been pruned in way too long, that parts of them are dead, dead, dead, and that I'm not entirely sure that the pruning I did won't result in more of them being dead, dead, dead by spring. I also realized that much of my nifty ground cover is healthiest in the places where I *don't want* ground cover, and dying off exactly in the places where I need it most. On the bright side, two 60-gallon trash cans full of foliage and the overall look of the front yard at least prove that I did something!

esrblog and I spent the rest of the night hanging out and playing China Rails with
pmat. Great way to end a Caturday.
