In honor of Halloween, I'm going to horrify you with two more weird products that also shouldn't exist.

Black cherry citrus Fresca. I'm not kidding. It's part of a new ad campaign for Fresca. They also have a peach citrus flavor now in addition to the ordinary, vaguely grapefruity flavor. But black cherry citrus? It's just wrong. If you have flash, check out http://www.fresca.com.

Even stranger: Steak and Worcestershire flavored potato chips. It was bad enough when they made dill pickle flavored chips. Now they want to cut out the meat part too!

And on that note: Happy Halloween!

I'll have to try both of those. The Fresca sounds interesting, and the potato chips sound yummy.

Glad to be of help. Just *don't* tell me about it if you decide to try them both at the same time. :-)

Not likely; the Fresca will probably make it to Fairmont, and the Herr's chips probably won't.

That's true; Herr's is pretty much a local brand.

On the other hand, if (Ghod forbid) it does well, maybe a national or Minnesota potato chip manufacturer will imitate it. Can't you see it? "Steak and Worcestershire Fritos"?

We've tried the two new flavors of Fresca - both count as weird and won't be bought again. :P

I haven't tried the black cherry version, since I detest black cherry flavor anyway. I did try the peach citrus, and I agree with you. It had an odd, plasticky undertaste that was not appealing. "Vat grown", as I believe Eric would characterize it.

I don't like artificial black cherry flavor either but John tends to like it so I tasted his. :P I like Eric's term of "Vat grown" and think it fits both of the flavors very well.

I'm not surprised; but then, I think *all* artificial black cherry flavors taste vat-grown. :-)

My favorite flavors of potato chips are honey-mustard and lemon-coriander.

Yes, but at least those are all condiments. They're trying to turn meat and potatoes into chips and chips!

Been common in Britain for years, Luv. That's where I had the lemon coriander.

The Steak and Worcestershire potato chips, you mean? (I can believe the Brits selling lemon coriander chips, or crisps, for sure, and honey mustard anything is practically an established food group, even here).

Yes. Steak and Worcestershire. Many, many other flavo"u"r combinations, too.

Somehow, I suspect I don't want to know about most of the others. Though the lemon and coriander chips sound interesting.
